Salvation in Scripture
HAS BEEN SAVED
“48 Then he said to her, ‘Your sins are forgiven.’ 49 But those who were at the table with him began to say among themselves, ‘Who is this who even forgives sins?’ 50 And he said to the woman, ‘Your faith has saved you; go in peace.’” Lk 7:49
“42 Jesus said to him, ‘Receive your sight; your faith has saved you.’” Lk 18:42
“24 For in hope we were saved.” Rom 8:24
“2Ti 1:8 Do not be ashamed, then, of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God, 9 who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.” 2Ti 1:8,9
IS BEING SAVED
“46 Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.” Acts 2:48
“For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” 1Co 1:18
“Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand, 2 through which also you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message that I proclaimed to you–unless you have come to believe in vain.” 1Co 15:2
“15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; 16 to the one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life.” 2Co 2:15
WILL BE SAVED
“But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” Matt 10:22
“Lk 8:49 While he was still speaking, someone came from the leader’s house to say, ‘Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the teacher any longer.’ 50 When Jesus heard this, he replied, ‘Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.’” Lk 8:50
“Much more surely then, now that we have been justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from the wrath of God.” Rom 5:9
“3 This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 1Ti 2:3.
